Armaan Malik embarked on his musical journey at just 4 years old. Displaying early promise, he competed on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs in 2006 and secured 8th place. This dedication drove him to study Indian classical music for a decade. In 2007, he entered Bollywood as a child singer, lending his voice to “Bum Bum Bole” in Taare Zameen Par, composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

Beyond playback singing, Malik showcased his versatility by dubbing for the English boy in My Name Is Khan and voicing Salim for Slumdog Millionaire’s radio version on BBC Radio 1.

From 2009 to 2019, Malik’s musical journey flourished. He gained recognition in 2014 with “Tumko Toh Aana Hi Tha” in Jai Ho, contributing to other tracks as well. That year, he collaborated with Sona Mohapatra on “Naina” for Khoobsurat and performed “Auliya” for Ungli.

In 2014, he released his debut album “Armaan,” achieving a significant milestone. The following year, he resonated with “Main Hoon Hero Tera” for Hero, “Kwahishein” for Calendar Girls, and “Tumhe Aapna Banane Ka” for Hate Story 3, composed by his brother Amaal Malik. He also joined Neeti Mohan for the latter and lent his voice to “Wajah Tum Ho.” His repertoire encompassed the Tamil track “Yaar Indha Muyalkutti” by D Imaan and the single “Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon,” composed by Amaal Malik. His talent was acknowledged with the 2015 Filmfare R. D. Burman Award for New Music Talent.
